Our Weekend Fjord Walks will mainly take place in the World Heritage site of Nærøyfjorden. This is right in the middle of the most stunning and spectacular fjord scenery that Norway has to offer. Up to 1600 meter high snowcapped mountains plunges more or less vertically down into the green fjords far below.
The rapidly changing seasons of spring and summer in the western parts of Norway, has inspired us to develop three different Weekend Fjord Walks, all with different focus. Culture and nature walks hand in hand in this area, and you will get to see how the farmers managed to make a living in the magnificent, but brutal and unforgiving surroundings.
National Geographic has twice recognized this area as the best managed and maintained tourist destination in the world.
